VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR
Granborough Parish Council is looking for a new councillor! 🌿
We currently have one councillor vacancy, which we are looking to fill by co-option.
Being a parish councillor is a great opportunity to get involved in village life, represent local residents and help shape decisions about issues that matter to our community.
You don’t need any previous council experience, just an interest in Granborough, a willingness to work with others, and the time to attend meetings and take part in Council business.
Who can apply?
You must be 18 or over and meet the relevant citizenship and local eligibility requirements. These include being registered to vote in Granborough, living or working in the parish, owning or renting property in the parish, or living within approximately 3 miles of the parish boundary for the required period.
Interested?
Please send a brief introduction explaining why you would like to become a councillor and what you could bring to the role.
📧 Lisa Prior, Parish Clerk
clerk@granborough.org
The Clerk is also happy to answer any questions about the role, eligibility or the co-option process.
📅 Closing date: Friday 30 October 2026
The co-option is expected to be considered at the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
Could you make a difference in Granborough? We’d love to hear from you!
