Defibrillator
Village defibrillator
Location and emergency access
The defibrillator is in the brick bus shelter outside the Village Hall. The cabinet is illuminated at night.
If someone is not breathing, call 999. Tell the operator that there is a public-access defibrillator in the village. The emergency operator will provide the code needed to unlock the cabinet. If another person is present, one person should administer chest compressions while the other collects the defibrillator. If you are alone, chest compressions take priority.
Using the defibrillator
At the cabinet, enter the code provided by the emergency operator and use the handle to open the door. Take the orange bag containing the defibrillator and pads to the casualty.
Keep the unit and casualty away from standing water. Press the green button to switch on the unit and follow its spoken instructions. Apply the pads as directed. The unit determines whether a shock is required and cannot shock someone unnecessarily. Keep everyone clear if a shock is delivered, then continue chest compressions until paramedics tell you to stop.

Calling emergency services
From a mobile phone, dial 112 for emergency services. This document explains the 112 emergency number.
Grit bins are supplied through Buckinghamshire Council and contain salt for use on public highways and pavements only. The grit must not be used on private driveways.
If a grit bin is damaged, low or empty, please email the Parish Clerk.
The Parish Council provides dog-waste bins at several village locations. They are emptied weekly and sanitised every six months. Please dispose of dog waste responsibly to protect residents, children, livestock and the wider village.
If you notice a problem with a bin, please email the Parish Clerk.
Please email the Parish Clerk with the road name, the light number shown on the column or the nearest house name or number, and your contact details.
The Clerk will report the fault to E.ON. An engineer will usually attend within several days, although a return visit may be needed. Please let the Clerk know when the light has been repaired.
