Who looks after public footpaths?

Footpaths and their stiles and gates are normally the responsibility of the landowner. Buckinghamshire Council’s Rights of Way team monitors public footpaths and provides an online service for reporting problems.

Paths maintained by the Parish Council

Under the devolved services agreement, Granborough Parish Council maintains two lengths of footpath:

• The path from the gate at the end of Church Lane to the end of the play area.
• The alley between the houses opposite The Crown on Winslow Road and the field entrance.

Please report problems with either of these paths to the Parish Clerk.

Using public rights of way

Please keep to designated footpaths

Many walking routes cross working farmland. Please stay on marked public rights of way, keep dogs under control—especially near livestock—follow the Countryside Code and close gates behind you. Do not enter private farmland or stray from designated routes.

Thank you for helping protect crops and livestock, supporting local farmers and caring for Granborough’s rural landscape.
